PPI RELEASING TO LAUNCH “THE ELECTRIC PLAYGROUND”
ON ABC-OWNED STATIONS IN U.S. AND SCI FI CHANNEL IN AUSTRALIA

Los Angeles – October 25, 2010 - PPI Releasing, worldwide distributor of the long-running series, The Electric Playground, and series producer, Greedy Productions, Ltd., announced today the US launch of the program in Q4 2010 on the ABC Owned Television stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Fresno and Flint, as well as stations from the Hearst, Hubbard, McGraw-Hill, Newport and Scripps groups.

Additionally, on the heels of MIPCOM 2010, PPI Releasing today announced the launch of The Electric Playground in Australia on the SCI FI Channel beginning in December 2010. EP will be delivered by state-of-the-art file transfer technology to make the series available in multiple formats on a day and date basis around the globe. PPI Releasing has introduced the series in the US as four quarterly “Holiday Buying Guides” beginning in Q4 2010, followed by a weekly hour in 2011 and a M-F strip in 2012. A staple on the airwaves since 1997, The Electric Playground is a daily half-hour entertainment news series covering all things popular culture, including movies, TV, videogames, music, comics, collectibles, gadgets, mobile apps & devices. EP is produced by host Victor Lucas and Emmy Award winning Greedy Productions, program supplier to Discovery, G4, Disney, Citytv, Turner, Rogers and broadcasters around the world. Current hosts and correspondents include Briana McIvor, Jose Sanchez, Miri Jedeikin and Shaun Hatton, from studios in Vancouver and bureaus in Toronto, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

“I’ve known that the audience for our style of entertainment coverage has been very large and quite underserved for a very long time,” said Victor Lucas, President of Greedy Productions Ltd., and the creator of EP, “so to work with PPI, these terrific ABC stations and SCI FI Australia to bring The Electric Playground to more viewers around the world is unbelievably exciting!”

“EP is the entertainment news magazine of tomorrow that’s available today,” said Ritch Colbert, a Principal of PPI Releasing. “The immediate support of these great broadcasters is a testament to The Electric Playground’s unique fusion of highly engaging, daily television and a special environment for advertisers,”

“It's the perfect addition to our schedule and will compliment the breadth of outstanding drama on the channel”, said SCI-FI Australia’s CEO Peter Hudson. “The Electric Playground is a very current show on what's hot right now and will be engaging for our viewers and will be a further exciting exclusive opportunity for our advertising partners.” The Electric Playground will begin airing nightly on SCI FI Australia on December 1st, 2010 at 8pm. The Electric Playground Buying Guides will consist of four one-hour Holiday Buying Guides for air in November and December, 2010 followed by three more seasonal specials in Q1, Q2 & Q3, 2011. The Buying Guides are sold on a station-friendly barter syndication basis with six-week windows and no restrictions on runs or day parts and stations are responding to the ad-friendly content.

“Electric Playground is entertainment that speaks directly to our viewers,” said Isaac Turner at KMSS in Shreveport. “EP creates the perfect platform for our advertisers, especially during key buying seasons year round.”

Greedy Productions currently has a multi-year contract with Rogers Media to produce both daily and weekly versions of The Electric Playground as well as Reviews on the Run, a daily companion show to EP with up-to-the-minute movie, TV and videogame reviews. PPI Releasing is offering both series as a Monday through Friday strip to cable in 2010 and broadcast in 2012.
