"JUST FOR LAUGHS GAGS" MATCHES SEASON HIGH
RATINGS WITH 1.4 RTG IN SYNDICATION
Los Angeles, CA January 12, 2016 – “Just for Laughs Gags”, the worldwide comedy sensation in its debut season in U.S. syndication, just matched its season-to-date high household rating of 1.4 in its most recent week. (NSS, Live+SD, Week ending 1/3). Additionally the series matched season high ratings among Women 25-54 (0.8), Women 18-49 (0.8) and Men 25-54 (0.7). “Just for Laughs Gags” premiered in September in over 80% of the country with stations from the Tribune, Titan, Hearst, Cox, Media General, Meredith, Granite, Weigel and Cordillera groups. The series is already over 50% renewed for next season.
“We’re not surprised by the sustained appeal of ‘Just for Laughs Gags,’” said PPI Releasing’s Ritch Colbert. “This is just the most recent confirmation that, once viewers sample this series, they will keep coming back for more.”
`Already airing in 135 countries, “Just for Laughs Gags” is in its 15th season, with over 300 half-hour episodes and more than 3,000 pranks produced. American viewers know Just For Laughs from three seasons in primetime on ABC, its “Just Kidding” series on Disney XD and its Youtube channel, which has garnered over 4 billion views, the majority from US audiences.
PPI is currently renewing the series for the 2016-17 season on a straight barter basis for M-F strip or weekend clearances.
