DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION RENEWED FOR YEAR 3 & 4

All Tribune, Acme and CW Plus Stations Re-Up Through 2011

Los Angeles, CA — December 18, 2008 — Demonstrating the continued strength of its syndicated teen E/I drama, Program Partners has announced new market clearances for year three and year four of the critically-acclaimed series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. Today’s news comes as the U.S. distributor locks down commitments from all 19 Tribune markets, all five ACME markets, and The CW Plus groups establishing second cycle clearances a 60% USHH.

The teen drama which airs on The N, gets into the holiday spirit with a 10-day Degrassi: The Next Generation Marathon kicking off Monday, Dec. 22 until Wednesday, Dec. 31 and airing every night from 8 p.m. – 12 a.m. (ET). Each night Degrassi fans will get more than a dose of egg nog and cheer as the series celebrates memorable past episodes of holiday drama.

Tribune stations include New York (WPIX), Los Angeles (KTLA), Chicago (WGN), Philadelphia (WPHL), Dallas (KDAF), Washington D.C. (WDCW), Houston (KIAH), Seattle (KCPQ/KMYQ), Miami (WSFL), Denver (KWGN), Sacramento (KTXL), St. Louis (KPLR), Portland (KRCW), Indianapolis (WTTV/WXIN), San Diego (KSWB), Hartford (WTIC/WTXX), Grand Rapids (WXMI), Harrisburg (WPMT), and New Orleans (WGNO/WNOL).

ACME stations include Albuquerque (KASY/KWBQ), Knoxville (WBXX), Dayton (WBDT), Green Bay (WIWB), and Madison (WBUW).

In addition, the series has been renewed in Atlanta (WATL/WXIA), Phoenix (KTVK/KASW), Tampa (WMOR), Charlotte (WJZY/WMYT), Nashville (WKRN-DT), San Antonio (KCWX), Birmingham (WVUA), Norfolk (WSKY), Fresno (KAIL), Columbia, SC (WKTC), Shreveport (KPXJ/KTBS), Jackson, MS (WDBD), and Baton Rouge (WGMB-DT).

Degrassi: The Next Generation is a fictional, dramatic series that tackles tough issues in a realistic way. The series is made up of a diverse group of adolescents and young adults going through the trials and tribulations at Degrassi Community School and beyond. The series follows Emma (Miriam McDonald), Manny (Cassie Steele), Jimmy (Aubrey Graham), Alex (Deanna Casaluce), Liberty (Sarah Barrable-Tishauer), Spinner (Shane Kippel), Toby (Jake Goldsbie), J.T. (Ryan Cooley), Darcy (Shenae Grimes) and Peter (Jamie Johnston) as they journey through high school, as well as alumni Paige (Lauren Collins), Ellie (Stacey Farber), Marco (Adamo Ruggiero), Craig (Jake Epstein) and Jay (Mike Lobel) as they experience life post-Degrassi.
