VALUSOFT, A DIVISION OF THQ INC., LICENSES “MERV GRIFFIN’S CROSSWORDS™”
FOR DEVELOPMENT AS CONSOLE VIDEO GAMES

Los Angeles, CA — December 3, 2007 — Program Partners and Merv Griffin Entertainment (MGE) announced today that THQ Inc. has licensed the rights to develop the console video game based on Merv Griffin’s Crosswords™, the #1 new game show* in syndication. The agreement, brokered by the William Morris Agency, calls for Crosswords video games to be developed for Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.

"With this game show’s addictive play and the public’s love of crosswords, we are excited to bring this must-have game to consumers in 2008," said Doug Clemmer, president of ValuSoft. “The growing popularity of Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360, in addition to the solid install-base of the PlayStation 2 system, provides a significant opportunity for a game like Merv Griffin’s Crosswords.”

ValuSoft is expected to release Merv Griffin’s Crosswords™ in 2009. As part of the agreement for development on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 system, ValuSoft has an option to obtain the rights to develop the game for Nintendo’s Wii™ home video game system and Nintendo DS™.

“The ValuSoft product is a great new way for fans of our Crosswords game show to interact with this brand,” said Josh Raphaelson of Program Partners. “They want to compete against friends and experience this exciting, fast-paced game the way our TV contestants do.”

Created by Merv Griffin who personally selected daytime television star Ty Treadway as its host, Merv Griffin’s Crosswords™ is a fast-paced, new generation “Q & A” half-hour game show in which players compete against each other and the clock in a unique way to solve a crossword puzzle. The series airs as a daily strip in over 90% of the U.S., including major market NBC-owned stations.

“Merv was aware of the negotiations with ValuSoft. We discussed the concept of console video games together, and I know how exciting he found this opportunity,” said Ron Ward, Vice Chairman of The Griffin Group.
